The Completing fifth round and total of sixth round included 29 field projects for oil and gas exploration blocks, which It was distributed among 12 governorates, and these strategic projects will contribute to increase investments in those governorates, which helps improve their economic and service situations. Through these two rounds, it is expected that Iraq will achieve daily at more than 3459 )million cubic feet( amount of gas, and more than a million barrels of oil. Prime Minister stressed on the government program which devoted a wide vision to achieve the program slogan )towards Optimization investment for oil and gas(, by adopting a new policy in investing oil wealth

The first edition of the Oil, Gas, Energy and Oil Equipment Expo

More than 130 Arab, foreign and local companies participated in this oil economic even Which was held in April 2024 on the grounds of the Basra International Fair / Al-Maqal Port.
The exhibition was opened by the Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee, Eng. Adnan Al-Jabri, and on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs was represented by His Excellency the Minister of Oil in opening the exhibition, the Director General of the South Gas Company (Mr. Hamza Abdul Baqi) and the Deputy Governor of Basra, Mr. Zaid Al-Emara, represented the local government, in the official presence of a number of members of the Iraqi Parliament and the local government in Basra Governorate, and a number of General managers of government oil companies, managers of local and foreign oil companies, as well as a large number of specialists and academics in the field of oil industries .
